A MAN OF SORROWS

Isaiah 53:3:  He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were [our] faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

He was despised (Isa 49:7) and even a "worm" (Ps 22:6). It is so yet. How few in all the world really love and honor Him! Let us ask ourselves the question: Are we willing to be classed with Him --- "despised and rejected of men"? Are we willing to be one WITH Him in the "fellowship of His sufferings"? Will we follow Him gladly "without the camp" and rejoice in the privilege? Will we let the world know that this "Man of Sorrows" is our Lord Whom we love and worship?

Dear Lord, Thou didst bear it all for us. We count it a JOY to follow in Thy footsteps. Amen.
